Chapter 30

• “Detain her. Detective Wright told me to put her in a cell. If you have anything, report to me,” said Detective Helen, her gaze full of condescension.
• Danica was forced out of the office rooms to the secluded area of the building. No matter how many times she explained, she was treated like a murderer by both Helen and Wright. The latter wanted to make her guilty so much so that he had gone to visit the one person who had almost driven her to insanity. The one person who hated her probably more than he did.
• They got to the cells where they normally held demons, vampires, and shifters alike. A few were vacant, but they pushed her into the cell that was not. Their intention was obvious; that was what he had instructed: as she was dangerous and inhumane, she needed extra treatment.
