• “So….” I trailed off as Ivy settled on the bed, seeking warmth under the thick blanket. I took off my jacket and slowly walked closer, feeling unusually nervous. When we were dancing, I was ecstatic to hear that she wanted to talk to me but now that I'm here, fear is slowly creeping into my mind.
• “Can you sit here?” she asked, gently patting my side of the bed. I followed her every command like a child.
• Ivy waited till I settled beside her and leaned on the headboard before speaking. “I want to give this a chance, Cassian.” she started, voice gentle but words clear. I swallowed thickly and stayed silent. “A few weeks ago, I never thought I'd come to this decision. I thought there was no hope but my heart won't let me give up like that no matter how tired I am. There are a lot of people in this pack who have grown dear to me. I cannot disappoint them and I know…that if my mother was alive now, she wouldn't want me to give up either.” Ivy breathed out before taking a pause.
