Chapter 27 Talking Heads

• EMMA’s POV :
• “We’re only here to talk,” Mr. Hayes stated firmly.
• We ended up ditching the school dance and headed to his apartment. We thought about talking in the school parking lot, but even that seemed dangerous. So we got into his car and jetted away. I sent some messages to my friend, I made up some lame excuse that I wasn’t feeling well and I wanted to be home alone. Mr. Hayes told Ms. Diaz that he had an emergency to attend to, and we were good to go.
