• With the baby’s arrival quickly approaching, Ian and I were scrambling trying to get everything perfect and ready. Some days I felt good and accomplished, but other days I just felt bloated and gassy and I didn’t feel getting up from the bed.
• I was still working at the magazine and Ian was still teaching and painting. In the midst of our busy schedule, we’d always make time to go to our doctor’s appointments, attend baby classes, and catch up on a lot of parental reading. It was intense how drastic a baby’s presence can change your life. I was learning so many new things and information each day, it felt like it was never gonna end.
