Chapter 23 Emptiness

• Levi’s POV
• The car screeched to a halt, and I stepped out into the biting night air, the cold doing little to cool the storm raging inside me. My eyes locked on the lone vehicle sitting under the dim glow of a street lamp in the clearing ahead. It was the car she’d entered, the one my operatives had tracked.
• For a moment, relief brushed against the edges of my panic. I was finally here. She was finally within reach.
