• I should have prepared myself for the worst when I put on a confident facade and proudly accepted alpha Zach's orders. The exploration was not conducted with other mortals like me. They were wolves. It was definitely not going to be a normal hunt… thus, not safe for me either.
• Had I smelled even a little bit of risk, as little as a maggot, I would have been clever enough to avoid it. But no, I wanted to prove myself. I wanted to show I was no less and joined paranormal creatures on a hunt I was never supposed to be a part of.
