Chapter 1779 A Soft-Hearted Man
- Ian took a deep breath. “Perhaps there’ve been too many things going on recently. I don’t know how things turned out when Leah caused havoc at the hospital that day. He wasn’t doing that well when we met him back then, but I’m sure his health only deteriorated after losing his temper in response to Leah’s provocation.”
- What Ian said made sense—even a young man could get a stroke from losing his temper, let alone an old man like Bryce. Ian shut his eyes for a while before he spoke. “Alright. Let’s go to bed now. We’ll see if anything happens tomorrow morning.”
- Cindy wasn’t too worried about matters with Bryce, so she fell asleep after a short while and remained asleep until the following day. When she woke up, Ian was no longer by her side. She sat upright and pulled the curtains open to glance out the window. It was still early in the morning, and the sun wasn’t too bright yet. There were barely any residents strolling around the housing area when she looked at the grounds outside.
