Chapter 2014 Good Girl
- Cindy was putting herself in Ian's shoes. She could tell that it was already hard for Ian to be so nice to Gary. While they were on the way to the hospital, Cindy was mentally preparing herself to bring up the topic. However, she couldn't seem to find the right time to talk about it. Everything that she wanted to say had been mentioned in her text, and she didn't want to repeat the contents of her message. But at the same time, she couldn't seem to find a new way to explain herself. So, she was caught in a rather awkward position where she felt like she couldn't do much.
- When the car stopped in the parking lot of the hospital, Cindy unbuckled her seat belt to get out of the car. Gary didn't seem like he had any intention to leave his car. "Do you have anything to say to me?" He turned to look at Cindy. She froze for a moment before she looked up to meet his gaze. He was looking at her with a sincere expression—she had never seen him looking at her that way in the past. For some reason, she felt herself panicking a little.
- "What do you want me to say, Mr. Frye?" she asked.
