• I decided to visit the pathologist who had performed the autopsy on Chiara. It wasn't going to be easy, I knew that much.
• The pathologist in question had retired two years ago according to what Jack said when I called him, and I had to make a few calls before I finally got to find out that he lived in another city. I hoped that he would be able to provide me with the answers I so desperately needed.
