Chapter 5 Let's Go
- She stared wide-eyed at the girl who was throwing up fervently and regretted not using all her might to stop her from drinking so much.
- She turned her gaze to the street and hoped they would soon find a taxi. Even if it was a free ride from a stranger, she would gladly take it, as this whole street was freaking her out.
- The sound of a car from a distance suddenly caught her ears and her eyes lit up and her head whipped to that direction but instead of a taxi her gaze caught a luxury scar speeding forward.
- The car came to a screeching stop, just in front of her and she froze.
- Lucy felt all her energy drained from vomiting so much. It was as if together with the alcohol, she had spilled out every organ in her stomach.
- She staggered up while holding her forehead with a painful moan, then turned around and bumped into something hard.
- “Gina, I think I hit my head on a whole,” she muttered with pain, still intoxicated.
- When she didn’t head any response from her friend, her brows settled into a frown. The figure was blocking her view of where her friend was standing moments ago.
- “Gina–“
- She halted in her words as a dark chuckle suddenly resounded and she stilled. That voice…
- Her eyes flew wide and her heart started thumping and when she look up, was met with a pair of dark eyes glinting with amusement.
- “W… What are you doing here?” She stammered while staggering back.
- The figure finally move from her view, and Gina was out of sight.
- “W… What did you do to her George… Please stay away from me.” She instantly panicked as the guy stepped forward with a smirk on his face.
- “Don’t worry Babe, your friend is in safe hands… and the name’s Greg,” he replied as he slowly advanced toward her.
- Lucy gulped as she kept on stepping back. “D… Don’t try anything funny… I… I’ll call the cops,” she warned. However, it was as if her worlds had fell on deaf ears as he continued moving forward with that mischievous smirk on his face.
- Of all people in the world, the dangerous twins were the last people she’d wanted to encounter. Thinking back to few months ago when they first met on a flight to a mutual relative wedding and the the things that occurred after that, she couldn’t help but shiver inside.
- “I’m warning you Greg… M… My Brother will not let you go this time… Stay away.”
- “Well… It wasn’t my fault what happened” he stopped walking and shrugged. Then his smile grew wider. “Now, stop being stubborn and let’s continue our little game… After so many months, I thought we’d never meet again… Don’t you miss me?”
- Looking at his nonchalant expression and the smug look on his face, anger rose up in Lucy’s chest. When they’d followed the guys from the plane right to the wedding venue, they never suspect anything.
- Who would have thought that the next morning they would end up waking up by their sides and the next thing their faces were all over the news papers. And the most shocking thing, the guys hadn’t denied that nothing had happened between them and she had to undergo some weird tests before her parents finally agreed that she wasn’t tainted.
- “Come on, stop making a big deal out of it, you can’t tell me you didn’t enjoy it.”
- “Y… You.” Lucy pointed a finger at him and sighed. If she was being honest, she did enjoy all the fun they had, completely unaware of their stupid prank the next morning.
- Not only for their notorious playboy personality, the evil twins were well know for shattering every girl that crossed their path.
- They should have known that they weren’t going to be an exception. “Where have you taken my friend!?” She demanded coldly.
- “She’s with my brother.” He shrugged then said, “Follow me, unless you want to freeze outside here.”
- “Never!” She shook her head, her voice filled with rage. She wasn’t a fool, who knew what he has in mind? She just hopes her friend was not suffering yet in the hands of the other evil twin.
- “Alright, suit yourself.” His lips curved up into an amused smile. “Hope you have a good sleep with the street dogs and thugs. Oh, you can go back to the bar and sleep there, that would be much better right?”
- He turned back and started walking toward his car. “Too bad, I had to return here for nothin… Don’t worry, I’ll come back and scrape you off the street in the morning, I won’t also forget to bring along a very nice casket.”
- Lucy’s pupils dilated as she watched him disappeared inside his car. She knew he was trying to lure her into following him, but she couldn’t help the claws of fears that clutched her heart at the moment.
- No, she wouldn’t give in, she just had to wait for a few more minutes before a taxi pass by.
- But standing at the empty street alone with the sole awareness that her private guards were nowhere around, Gina could feel her legs shaking.
- A loud bark from the distance pulled her out of her shock and her heart sank. Then the car’s engine started.
- In a flash, her legs had already scurried to the car and she started banging hard on the window.
- The door opened from the inside and she was met with his wide grin.
- Greg let out a chuckle as the girl barged inside the car with a frightened expression. She splayed a hand on her chest while breathing in and out and he waited until she calmed down, all the while his gaze had never strayed from her.
- “W… What are you still doing? L… Let’s go,” she stuttered, after managing to catch her breath and he laughed softly then started driving.
