- I awakened to the sun kissing my face, driving a sparkle on me that had never been there. The birds were twittering their morning petition, and the stirring of tree limbs gave the most quiet melody. Everything made it simple to forget where I was and what I was doing there.
- Waking up, I checked out my unfilled room, seeing the open window that had been shut last evening. Rather than addressing it to an extreme, I sat up in my bed. Taking in the towel I actually had folded over me, I moaned.
