Chapter 9 My Daughter, As Honored As A Princess!
- Katherine glanced at the time and said, "Today is Linda's boyfriend's first visit. The lunch is scheduled for 12:00 pm.
- We've got just over an hour. We might be cutting it close!
- Liam, could you take Diana to freshen up a bit and change into clean clothes? I need to rush home and get things ready. Is that okay?"
- Linda was Katherine's younger half-sister.
- "Alright!" Liam nodded with a smile. "I'll swing by and pick you up afterward."
- After Katherine hurried off, Liam completed Diana's discharge procedures and carried her out of the hospital.
- "Master!" Outside the door, Mason respectfully approached him.
- Liam spoke calmly, " Notify everyone to prepare a generous gift and send an invitation to the Sage family."
- He continued, "Today, I want to see Katherine and Diana return in glory!"
- "Yes!" Mason replied.
- Afterwards, Liam carried Diana to the most luxurious bathhouse in Vexane, the entrance of the Glory Bathhouse.
- Looking at the magnificent decoration, Diana snuggled closer to him and whispered, "Daddy, why are we here?"
- Liam affectionately rubbed her little nose. "It's your first time visiting your grandpa's house. Of course we need to make sure you are clean and dressed as pretty as a princess!"
- "Daddy, this fancy place must be very expensive, right?" Diana asked.
- "I can be very thrifty," she added earnestly. "All I need is a towel and some water to bathe."
- Her sensible appearance tugged at Liam's heart!
- My daughter, how much have you endured these past five years? Liam wondered.
- He drew in a deep breath, held Diana tightly in his arms and said affectionately, "My daughter, don't worry. I promise you that from today onwards, you'll enjoy the most honorable treatment in this world!
- My daughter deserves nothing less than the status of a princess."
- As they stepped inside the bathhouse, the attendant at the door immediately put on a fawning expression.
- "Honored guest, welcome to the Glory Bathhou—" His greeting suddenly stuck in his throat when he looked up.
- The attendant's smile quickly turned into a sneer as he saw a plainly dressed man carrying a little girl with a dirty face, still wearing a hospital gown.
- "Hey, hey! Make sure you know where you're walking before barging in here. The five-dollar bathhouse is on the next street over!"
- "I know," Liam replied calmly. "Give you ten minutes. Clear out this entire place. I want to give my daughter a bath."
- "Wh-what?" The attendant almost bit his tongue in shock. He gave Liam a once-over, then laughed mockingly. "You must be out of your mind!"
- "Look clearly at what this place is!" He continued. "It costs 998 dollars just for one person to bathe here. You want me to clear the whole place? That would set you back at least twenty or thirty grand!
- Look at you, dressed like a beggar. Do you even have the money?"
- "You don't need to worry about the money. Just do as I say!" Liam replied coldly.
- "Damn! I met a lunatic today! Get lost! Stop wasting my time, I've got a business to run!"
- Liam's gaze slightly darkened. "I just want to give my daughter a bath!"
- "Your daughter?" The attendant glanced at Diana in Liam's arms. Despite her dirty face, her natural beauty and grace shone through.
- A glint of malice flashed in his eyes as he smirked. "You want to give her a bath? Heh… Since I'm feeling generous today, how about I do it for you myself?"
- As he reached out to touch Diana's face, Liam's gaze darkened, the chill in his eyes grew deep.
- Bang!
- The attendant was sent flying, crashing through the heavy glass doors of the bathhouse, shattering them into pieces!
- He clutched his chest, struggling to get up from the ground. His face contorted in fear.
- He trembled as he took out his walkie-talkie and shouted, "Everyone, get out here! Someone's causing trouble!"
- The commotion drew a crowd of onlookers, many of them watching with amused expressions.
- "Is this guy crazy? He actually dares to cause trouble in the Jones family's territory?"
- "Tsk, tsk. What a pity. He's so young, yet he's clearly got a death wish. Sigh…"
- After a while, seven or eight burly men rushed out of the bathhouse, surrounding Liam!
- The leader, with a broad chest and fierce expression, spoke in a deep voice, "You're the one daring to stir up trouble in my Jones family's territory?"
- "Mr. Brown, it's him!"
- Brown glanced at Liam and spoke coldly, "You dare to run wild in my place with a little mongrel? Man, are you looking to die?"
- A flicker of deadly intent flashed in Liam's eyes. "Say that again."
- Brown sneered arrogantly, "And what if I do?"
- "Man, I don't care what you're thinking. Right now, kneel down with your mongrel and give me three respectful kowtows. Maybe then I'll be merciful and let you go, otherwise…"
- Liam didn't even bother to raise his head. "Otherwise, what will you do?"
- A murderous look flashed across Brown's face. "Otherwise, I'll show you what it means to wish for death over life!"
- "What? Brown Jones?"
- "Tsk, tsk. I heard he's a ruthless killer. He's got blood on his hands—dozens, maybe even hundreds of lives!"
- "What a shame for the kid in his arms. Poor thing, she's really out of luck being with him…"
- The crowd's whispers reached Brown's ears. He smiled smugly. "Man, what's it gonna be? Kneel or not?"
- "Kneel?"
- "There's no one in this world who can make me kneel!" Liam said coldly. "And you… you're not even close."
- "You arrogant punk!" Brown was instantly furious. His large and fan-like hands lunged toward Liam, and said in a stern voice, "Then I'll beat you down until you kneel!"
- Feeling the coldness coming from above, Liam's eyes filled with deadly intent. "You're courting death!"
- Crack!
- "Ahh!" A scream echoed through the room. Brown's thick and pillar-like arm had been twisted like a pretzel, bones snapping with a sickening crunch.
- The sound of splintering was like firecrackers, making people's scalp tingle!
- "My hand! My hand!" Brown screamed twice in agony, he couldn't bear the excruciating pain in his hand. His eyes rolled back and passed out.
- The entire room fell into stunned silence!
- He ruined Brown's hand in one move?
- Could a person really twist someone's hand like that?
- "You… you ruined Mr. Brown's hand?" The attendant who was shouting at the beginning, now looked at Liam with a face full of fear.
- Liam held Diana in one arm, lowered his gaze slightly and spoke in a cold tone, "You've got five minutes left!"
