Chapter 6 A Night of Unrest

  • Seeing Liam’s emotionless face, Katherine bit her lip deeply and suddenly spoke, “Liam!”
  • Liam paused and turned his head. The coldness on his face melted away, replaced by a faint smile and warmth. “What is it?”
  • Her face reddened slightly, and her voice carried a hint of worry. “The Wolfe family holds immense power in Vexane. They are not people ordinary citizens like us can fight against!”
  • “Please, don’t be reckless!”
  • Seeing the bitterness on her face, a sharp pain struck Liam’s heart. She had suffered such humiliation, and their daughter had nearly lost her life. Did she not hate Nathan?
  • She did. She hated him more than anyone, but what could she do?
  • To her, the Wolfe family was like a towering tree, impossible to shake. All she could do was endure the humiliation to live a humble life.
  • He was the revered Imperial Master, basking in glory and respect. But she was just a single mother who had given birth out of wedlock, subject to the scorn of others.
  • Seeing Liam remain silent, Katherine panicked. She quickly stepped forward, grabbed his arm, and said urgently, “The Wolfe family won’t let you go for beating Nathan this badly!”
  • “I have a bit of money left. I’ll transfer it all to you. You need to rent a car and leave as soon as possible.”
  • Looking at this kind-hearted woman, Liam couldn't help but feel touched. Even now, all she cared about was his safety.
  • He felt a deep sense of regret. Missing out the best five years of Katherine's life was his greatest regret. Yet, he had already made up his mind that he was willing to spend the rest of his life to bring her and Diana a lifetime of happiness and honor.
  • At that moment, Nathan, still weakened from Peter’s punch, began shouting again, “This wretch is right! My family isn't something trash like you can afford to offen!”
  • “If you release me now, I might consider going easy on you!”
  • “Shut up!” Liam uttered two cold words.
  • Peter snorted disdainfully and swung his hand heavily. Then, two bloodied teeth flew out of Nathan’s mouth!
  • Liam smiled faintly and gently said to Katherine, “Take care of Diana here. I’m just going to have a little chat with Nathan.”
  • In the center of Vexane, inside an extremely luxurious villa, a phone suddenly rang urgently.
  • Ethan, who had just finished with a woman, picked up the phone with some annoyance. “Who the hell is calling me in the middle of the night?”
  • “Dad! Save me!”
  • Ethan froze instantly. “Nathan! What happened?!”
  • He immediately recognized Nathan’s voice, and he could hear the deep fear in his son’s tone.
  • Suddenly, the call was interrupted, and a voice slowly spoke, “Are you Ethan?”
  • “Who the hell are you?” Ethan’s face filled with murderous intent, his voice threatening, “I don’t care who you are! Release my son immediately!”
  • “If you don’t, I will make sure your entire family is wiped off the face of the earth!”
  • “Is that so? Then I’ll give you a chance. You have half an hour to come to the Trinity Medical Center.”
  • “If you’re not here in half an hour, I can't guarantee your son will still be alive when you get here.”
  • Liam glanced at Nathan, who was hanging from the ceiling, his face pale and weak. Liam’s lips curled into a chilling smile.
  • Hanging up the phone, he looked up at Nathan. “Mr. Nathan, are you satisfied with my gift?”
  • At this point, Nathan had completely lost his arrogance. His hands were tied above his head, his legs pierced with tubes, and blood dripped from them, slowly filling a basin below. In just a short time, the basin was already half full.
  • “Please… let me go!” Feeling the rapid loss of blood from his body, Nathan was truly terrified.
  • His eyes filled with desperation, and he pleaded, “I was wrong! I’ll give you any amount of money you want! Just please, let me go!”
  • But Liam’s smile only deepened, taking on a demonic edge. “Did you let my daughter go when she begged you?”
  • “Don't worry! The real show starts when your father gets here.”
  • Half an hour later, the Wolfe family mansion erupted into chaos!
  • Ethan gripped the phone tightly, his furious roar echoing through the sky. “No matter who hurt my son, I’ll tear them to pieces!”
  • Soon, many in Vexane noticed a flood of Wolfe family's men, all with murderous looks, rushing toward the Trinity Medical Center.
  • People wondered if the one messing with the Wolfe family had a dead wish.
  • The sky was dark, yet the Trinity Medical Center was lit up brightly by spotlights.
  • A dense crowd had gathered, completely surrounding the medical center.
  • Following a loud noise, the door to the room was kicked open, and Ethan’s eyes nearly burst from his head at the sight before him.
  • Nathan was hanging high in the air, a basin filled with his blood nearly overflowing!
  • “Release my son!”
  • Liam remained seated in his wheelchair, facing the massive crowd without a hint of fear. “You must be the head of the Wolfe family? Do you know the crime for failing to educate your son properly?”
  • Without waiting for Liam to act, Ethan burst out laughing. “Who do you think you are to accuse me? Even if my son tore Vexane apart, I’d still be there to clean up after him!”
  • “Seeing how arrogant you are, I’ll feel no guilt killing you tonight!” said Liam.
  • “Kill me?” Ethan suddenly burst into laughter. “Kid, are you still dreaming?”
  • “Look around! My family has over a thousand men surrounding the entire medical center, while you are alone. The only one who’s going to die today is you!”
  • “Take him down! Whoever kills him will get a million dollars!” He ordered.
  • The promise of a rich reward spurred the men into action, their eyes lighting up as they charged forward like a bloodthirsty horde.
  • Liam didn’t move. Just as the situation became critical, a figure descended from the air, then the nearest attackers were sent flying with pained screams.
  • A cold blade dripped with fresh blood. Mason raised his head slightly, his bloodshot eyes filled with twisted fury.
  • A voice, cold as judgment from the depths of hell, echoed in the ears of the crowd. “Do you want to kill my master?”
