• Rafael stuck to his word and didn't ask her again about coming back. He texted her only once the next day to ask if she was doing okay. She waited until midnight to see if he would call her.
• 'What was I even expecting? He would rather die than call me. Maybe I should call and see if he's awake and thinking about me.'
