Chapter 49

• As soon as Alisha found out that Antonio had flown out of the country, she put on one of her favorite red dresses with a plunging neckline and hurried to Rafael's place. It was seven in the morning. Knowing her ex-boyfriend and his workaholic nature, she was sure he would be getting ready to leave for work already, against all recommendations and warnings from the doctor.
• She was bummed that her dad's men did such a poor job of getting rid of Ruhi. They did the one thing she specifically told them not to. She was sure she wouldn't have spared them for letting Ruhi live if any of them had survived.
• When she heard Rafael lost his memory, she was back in the game to get him because she was sure he would obviously pick her over a plain Jane like Ruhi. It still bothered her that Ruhi was alive and might show up anytime, with fat tears rolling down her cheeks and swooping him away from her right under her nose.
