Chapter 19

• As my dad walked me down the aisle to meet the man I would be getting married to, my heart began to beat very fast again. It was finally becoming a reality and I could not help but have doubts again. The smiles on the faces of the people in the hall were supposed to soothe my heart but they did not. None of their faces were familiar except that of my mom who would not stop smiling. I could tell it was a dream come true for her though I wasn't the one she wanted to give out in the first place. I looked through the crowd for Lucy and Claire but I could not find them.
• Maybe they are not here yet. I thought. What could be keeping them?
• I smiled. It has to be Claire; she always takes her time to get dressed.
