Chapter 36 Peanuts
- Syndee was smiling wildly as Mason wrapped his arms around her. I was situated behind Mason. So I surely didn't miss how Syndee's eyes, although still smiling kiny held a jester's gaze in them. If you're looking at a third person's point of view, you'll notice how she's kind hearted enough to welcome a stranger that might seem like a threaten to get considering most of the maids wanted both of them to be together.
- I fiddled with my fingers, looking down. I feel guilty for ruining such a planned schedule too. If I just hung up after hearing the distress laced on that receptionists' voice, then he wouldn't have to turn his plane around. Or maybe, just like what he advised, I should've called for the cops like any other normal human being would do.
- I smiled apologetically at Syndee. She looked taken aback, but smirked. "Welcome back, Veronica. We were all worried about your whereabouts. We should have at least contacted your parents or your boyfriend, I heard you have one." She said, fake pity inside her eyes. I smiled, going through with her mockery.
