Chapter 10 Chains and Hair Strands

• Mason's face hardened and his paper-cutting jaw clenched. His amused eyes turned cold and he pushed the chair back to stand up. I slowly placed the spoon back on the plate. "Let's end the conversation here." He said and started to walk off. 
• "You don't believe me." I muttered without looking at him. He stopped in his tracks and shifted his head to the side, but he didn't turn around to face me which added to the fuel of my rage. 
• I can't blame him if he believed his bestfriend more than a stupid stranger staying in his house but this is just ridiculous! I turned my sitting position to look at him. "You don't fucking believe me, do you?" I said and stood up.
