Chapter 9 Folks

• Jedidiah knew his grandmother would have hated the new blue paint job on her car. She always imagined it gloss black with metal flake and a candy apple red metallic stripe to accentuate the chrome cookie sheet vents in the hood and split window in the back. Jed's favorite feature remained the chrome side pipes.
• "Your granddad says you know how to drive tractors and farm trucks. Speed aside, this ain't much different Quin. Just follow my instructions and we'll put it on the lift. Then we'll break for lunch. I'll teach you how to do an oil change afterwards.
• The two positioned the vehicle and adjusted the swing arms to lift the precious ride into the air. "This is a good place to break Quin. Let's get some grub."
