• As the boys descended, the mood at the breakfast table was somber to say the least. Hachi had just said, "At least it's out in the open. Forgive me Buck. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do."
• "Sweetheart the boy was dealing with enough. I saw it, he wasn't ready to cope with this. I am not sure if he is NOW. Neither you or he did anything wrong." He kissed his wife and continued, "At the time you did the right thing. Truth be told, I'm fighting the urge to go to the cemetery and piss on dad's grave."
• As the boys joined the crowd Jed heard only the last part of his parent's exchange, his head dropped low and Arian pulled him close.
