Chapter 27 To His Fate

• Bogo paced the empty hallway, his impatience growing as he waited for Dr. Naam to exit the room. His heart pounded restlessly in his chest, filled with self-doubt and regret. Why hadn't he searched for the Boss sooner? Why had he agreed to let the Boss go to the restroom alone? The weight of his failures weighed heavily on him as he took another sharp turn in the corridor.
• Finally, he heard the door click and saw Dr. Naam emerge from the room. Relief washed over him, and he hurried toward her. However, she silenced him with a finger to her lips, signaling for him to remain quiet. Bogo respected her gesture and followed as she led him down the hallway to her office. Without uttering a word, he glanced back at the closed door, where the Boss lay, likely asleep, before joining Dr. Naam.
• Nancy Naam unlocked her office door and entered, removing her coat and hanging it on a nearby hanger. She placed her tablet on the table and then cleaned her glasses before putting them back on. Taking a seat, she forced a smile despite the worry etched on Bogo's face. She understood the immense pressure he was under as the Boss's trusted bodyguard. However, the news she had to deliver would only add to his burden. She opened her mouth to speak but found herself unable to articulate the words.
