Chapter 56

• “Psst. Alpha.” I blinked back to reality once again and found Diane waving at me, mouthing some words whilst pointing at her face, “Your face, Alpha,” she pasted on a smile, urging me to do the same before gesturing at me to get back to work, “I'll see you around.” She finally waved at me before heading back in the direction of where the party was in full swing, swaying her hips as she did, so as to blend in with the other girls and to not be punished for not looking pleasant or appealing to the party goers.
• I felt my knees weaken once again and had to slowly sink back onto the floor so they didn't give out from under me. The head of slaves be damned, my heart was pounding erratically against my ribcage, Diane's words feeling like a splash of cold water on my face.
• I needed to meet with Easton again. I couldn't continue to sit around and wait. We needed to get the plan into motion as soon as possible. And what good would a few measly days of minutes of training do me anyways, I would need Easton and his whole army if I truly wanted to defeat Zane. I needed all the help I could get, and at this point, I'd do anything to get Easton to fight with me.
