Chapter 23

• ROSE'S POV
• Darkness surrounded me, thick and suffocating. It felt as if I were trapped between two worlds, caught in a place that existed outside of reality. My consciousness swirled in a strange, dreamlike haze.
• I found myself in a dark forest. The air was filled with silence. The only sound was the crunch of leaves beneath my feet. My skin prickled with an uneasy feeling. It was the same forest—the one where the woman in black had strangled me.
