Chapter 8 Stay

  • Nalya
  • Like the previous day, I woke up early in the morning. The head cleaning staff already gave us our equipment. I was told that the Alpha wakes up early to go to training so his room will be empty. I went there and opened the door.
  • Everything in the bedroom was untidy. Bottles of beer are scattered on the floor. I cleaned the ensuite bathroom. There was a golden tub in the middle of the bathroom. I cleaned thoroughly before going to the bedroom but what I saw shocked me; Prince Rhaegar was in bed with a woman who wasn't Juliana. I tried to leave discreetly but failed as I made a sound. They jolted awake and sat up, their upper torso uncovered.
  • "Who is she?" the woman in bed asked.
  • "No one," he said, looking irritable, and my heart constricted painfully.
  • "I'm sorry. I'll come back to clean later," I said.
  • "No, stay," the woman ordered.
  • My eyes traveled to Prince Rhaegar. He got up from the bed, only wearing black boxers, and my eyes trailed on his muscular body. His body was lean yet muscular. I could tell he exercised just the right way.
  • "You like him," the woman said with a smile. She reviewed me with glee.
  • "She's lovely. Isn't she, my Prince,"
  • "She's a child, Tonia," he didn't look at us as he said the words.
  • "I... I will leave now," my voice quivered but she grabbed my cheeks painfully.
  • "I said no," her voice was sweet, yet her actions weren't.
  • My breath shuddered, and my gaze went to the Alpha Prince. He sat on the sofa with a drink, scrutinizing me intently. Tonia's fingers caressed my neck.
  • "She has delicate skin," she whispered, her fingers trailing down to my chest. They felt invasive on my body, and I was shivering.
  • "She's a gem," Tonia purred. Rhaegar was pleased watching this.
  • "But she's shaking," she frowned, brushing hair from my face. My chest was hurting again, and I started to hyperventilate.
  • "Nalya, has anyone touched you this way before?" she asked softly. I didn't answer her. I slowly squatted down, trying to breathe and calm my racing heart.
  • "What is happening to her?" The Prince's voice was panicked.
  • "It's a panic attack. Being touched a certain way is a trigger for her," Tonia patted my back.
  • "Breathe slowly," I stayed in the position for good minutes, and when I felt better, I stood up.
  • "Go to the infirmary and ask to see a psychiatrist,"
  • I nodded and left the suite in a hurry. I went to my room and lay on the bed, crying. After a long time, the door opened, and I sat upright.
  • "Hey, hun," Ella waved.
  • "Hello,"
  • She sat next to me and gave me a small smile, "I'm sorry for what happened with Antonia and Rhaegar. They didn't know," Did he tell her what they did? Why?
  • "I know she didn't mean anything bad. I didn't know I could react that way until recently,"
  • "May I ask why?" She said gently. Tears formed in my eyes as memories of Arlon came to my mind. His disgusting fingers on me and making me suck his cock was cruel. I shook my head, and she wrapped an arm around me. We stayed quiet until my stomach growled.
  • "Come with me,"
  • I stood up hesitantly and followed her. She was walking towards another part of the pack house I didn't know. We reached a grand ornate door, and she pushed it open. Behind the door were Nate, Kendrick, and Rhaegar. I didn't spare the Prince another glance.
  • "Hi, Kiddo. Long time no see. How have you been?" Nate asked, charming as always.
  • "I'm alright, thank you," I smiled at him.
  • "Good evening!" Kendrick waved.
  • "Good evening,"
  • I didn't exchange words with Prince Rhaegar. The room we were in had tall windows covered in green flowers.
  • The door opened, and a few servers walked in with trays of food, taking it to a dining area I didn't notice sooner.
  • "Um, Ella, I should leave now," I didn't know why she brought me here. Juliana might come any moment, and who knew how she'd react after being warned to stay away from this group?
  • "No, please, eat with us," she insisted.
  • "I'm full,"
  • She sternly stared, "Now, don't lie to me. I know you spent the whole day in your room, missing both breakfast and lunch,"
  • "I can't, please," I whispered.
  • "Kiddo, did anyone tell you something? " Nate asked.
  • "I was told not to interact with any of you," I said after a long pause since they weren't going to drop the issue.
  • "Who?" Kendrick asked.
  • "Whoelse," Rhaegar muttered.
  • "Bitch,"
  • "Ella," they all hissed in warning. Ella only rolled her eyes.
  • "You know I never liked her. She is too pretentious," she shrugged her shoulders.
  • "Juliana is kind and generous. The right Luna," Rhaegar said. He sounded like he was assuring himself.
  • "Ignore what she told you and eat with us, please,"
  • "No, really, I'm fine, and if I get hungry, I'll just eat in the staff dining room," I told her.
  • "Stay and eat," the Prince commanded. I felt cold air all over my body.
  • "Don't worry, Juliana is not here and won't be for months! So, let loose Besides, I'm going to school in two days, and you won't see me in three months!"
  • I was sad that Ella was leaving, but she had to get her degree. I nodded, and she cheered.
  • Sitting at the table, I felt so insignificant. They were intimidating and spoke eloquently in matters they were discussing.
  • "How are you finding the pack so far?" Gamma Kendrick asked. I cleared my throat.
  • "All good," I answered.
  • The meal went on well, but my mind drifted away. I exhaled loudly.
  • "Are you alright,"
  • "Um, yes," I said with a small smile.
  • "We should watch a movie," Kendrick suggests. I stood up and looked at Ella.
  • "I should leave now. Thank you for the food," I was in a hurry to leave when a strong hand touched me, and my heart flipped in my chest.
  • "Stay," Prince Rhaegar said.
  • "It's my bedtime, and I have an early morning," He let go of my hand as though it burnt him. I left the room without looking back.
