Her scream rings in my ears as we reach the cabin. I run towards her pained voice at lightning speed, and what I see has me shaking in anger. A fucker is hovering over my mate. I rip him off her and pounce on him. Fucking Connor. I growl at him. My wolf fuses with my dragon's side. I feel my eyes change color to a deadly one.
I see fear in his eyes. Good, I want him to be scared. To feel terror for what's to come. I want to kill him for touching my wife, for all the hurt he has caused her. He tries to attack me, but I dodge his tragic attacks. He tries to punch me, but I catch his fist. I hit him repeatedly, blood gushing from his face to mine, but still, I didn't stop. I'm enraged.
