- The new furniture was due for that morning. I liked the old furniture but Marcel insisted on all new décor. The entire house was painted last week and the garden was under reconstruction. After two weeks the new chairs and portraits were due.
- It was Marcel’s way of starting over. The new beds came in two days ago. I understood him though it felt like it was genuinely ours this way.
