Chapter 36 Best Friends
- I had a coffee date with Selma. I felt like I was on my way to confront a judge in front of a jury. I couldn’t come out and tell her about Marcel. The first person she would tell was her brother and Marcel made him forget about me just so he could swoop in. It was hypocritical on his part.
- “Hey!” Selma beamed.
- I couldn’t help the smile that spread when I saw her. We hadn’t spoken for ages. The Barn had been our spot now that wouldn’t be open for months plus my secret was keeping us apart. Selma was my first real friend ever I felt like a traitor.
