Chapter 4

• Raven's Pov:
• I feel bad for not telling Rina about the existence of our kind, but it's against our laws. No humans know about our existence unless they are mated to one of us and, even so, they do not tell their families about us. And that's the rule that has kept us safe and hidden to avoid being hunted down by hunters. But some stupid rogues constantly break the rules but they always end up being killed.
• She's my best friend and I always feel guilty hiding some things from her. Now she's all confused about this whole situation about how she felt when she was closer to the 'big boss' and the 'growl' from which I told her she was imagining things. But it is not my place to tell her, the one to tell her the truth should be her mate. It is probably difficult for her to understand what is going on with her.
• I can tell from the description she has given me about what has happened so far after her interaction with my brother yesterday that they are mates, and their bond is slowly forming. I am so happy for my brother to have finally found his mate. An Alpha king without a mate and having no heir to pass the genes to could go haywire, or in a more direct description, he could go feral. No one knows the turmoil within my brother other than his two close friends and me. The Moon Goddess did pick the best woman for him and a kickass at that for, Luna. She will be perfect at it.
• "What are you fantasizing about?" she asked, picking the popcorn from the counter.
• "Nothing much".
• "Yeah, I also see there is nothing much, you need to get laid ASAP. Lately, you have been off" she comments.
• "You ruin a lot of souls with your bad advice, Missy."
• "hahaha everyone seems to like them, I never tell them to do what they don't like," she says, rolling her eyes.
• "Let's go partying tonight. I need to release some steam"
• "Yeeess! That's my girl"
• "Okay, that's a done deal. Let's finish watching our movie before getting ready. I think it's the last episode. Damn, even my ass hurts. We have been sitting from midnight to the afternoon just watching, you know?".
• "That's a nice way for us to be productive, we are on leave b***c," she said sarcastically.
• We finished watching the last episode of Money Heist season 5 and went to the bedroom to get ourselves ready for the party. I was the first to take a shower because I would be doing our makeup. After two hours of getting ourselves popped up we were ready. we wore similar dresses but with different colors, mine was blue, while Rina wore a white one. Both dresses were strapless and short but not too much. We could still dance in them freely with our black high heels.
• "Damn girl, you look hot. If I was a man, I could have kidnapped you and married you, hiding you away from all men." Yes, give the price of flirting to my bestie here, she does it perfectly.
• "You know you look beautiful too. We have the same dress, but white makes you more beautiful."
• "Awwwww! I know "she says, making a small twirl with her arms extended.
• "Egoistic b**t," I said, rolling my eyes. My girl loves herself so much and that is one of the things that she taught me, to always love myself more than anyone because when you love yourself you don't take any s**t from anyone.
• " Yes honey, I love you too," she said, kissing me on the chick.
• "How do we look?" I asked.
• "More up-scale hookers," she said, grinning, and we ended up laughing like crazy.
• " Let's go. We are late already" I said as I picked up the car keys and we left the house.
• The drive to the 'Switch Club' was less than ten minutes away, since Rina's apartment is in the middle of the city.
• We got to the club using the back door as usual. Some members here know who I am, so it isn't a big deal to get in, but I always avoid getting in through the front door, with a long queue there. People will complain when they see us getting directly in and I don't like being in the spotlight.
• We proceeded to the bar to get ourselves drinks.
• "What can I serve you, ladies?" the cute bartender asked.
• "We want something powerful". Rain grumbled as she placed her first empty glass on the bar counter. I still don't know which drink it was because she just picked up someone's order from the waitress who passed by, poor lady, she had to go and get the same drink again without missing the chance to give glares and curses to Rina here, who doesn't care.
• "Tequila shots?" the bartender offered.
• "Sure give them to us," we both say.
• "How many?" he asked.
• "Just keep them coming," we both say in unison, gulping the shots down.
• "You two are always crazy," he said, laughing at our actions.
• "one more"
• "Hey Raven, let's get this party started on the dance floor," Rina shouts happily as we hold hands.
• We proceeded to the dance floor. The Dj was playing Mike Posner's " I Took a Pill in Ibiza". I could feel people looking at us. I looked around the dance floor irritated, but I still enjoyed the hungry eyes of the men staring at us.
• "horny dogs"
• The DJ changed to dance hall music, our favorite, and we started twerking. I got the training from Rina. Don't blame me. That B*** is a twerking monster. You will judge her small ass before she bends and surprises you.
• That drink was all we needed to kick in, without any care in the world, we did what we do best, making ourselves happy to the fullest by controlling the dancefloor. Most men tried to get closer to us, but as usual, we always distanced ourselves. I mostly used to drop at my place with a man, the cobwebs down there have to be removed you know. but I have been keeping off men since I met my mate, Ian, that a******e decided to make me behave as a virgin marry here, but I love him even if I live to one d***k now until I die. I think I have enjoyed enough though. I can never f**k anyone though. No one will ever be good enough for me other than my mate.
• Being a werewolf has its advantages. We never get drunk unless we have wolfsbane, which is harmful to our systems if ingested in large amounts. I could see Rina swaying and I knew it was time to get back to the apartment because she was so drunk. As usual, I had to carry her to the car and drive us home.
• I decided to come and keep her company at her place after she calmed down and came back two days ago. It was either me or the warriors, the 'king's order' and that our Luna needs to be kept safe, and who is best for the job other than me, right? I am a trained warrior, being the king's sister, I have to protect myself too. I still have warriors who keep me protected from a distance in the human world.
• Rain's Pov
• After the party yesterday and me ranting to Raven in the car, I don't remember how we got home.
• It was so early in the morning when I got splashed with cold water that got me out of my sweet dream.
• As usual, the black witch comes in to irritate me. She pulls down the curtains for light to come in as if nothing happened.
• "What the hell!" I shouted.
• "I am not the one having sex dreams with my boss ' Awww! Yes, yes there baby " she said, eying me.
• " wtf! Raven! get out!"
• " C'mon Rina, I would wish so much for you to pop that cherry of yours, and you kind of found someone to do it."
• "I am not going to sleep with my boss, I don't trade my V-cards to people I work with".
• "Okay just don't tell me the details when you do it with my brother. It is disgusting.
• "Wait, What? your brother?" I asked, not understanding. Then it dawned on me. Once, Raven told me the company belonged to her brother, but she doesn't like people to know because most befriend her due to her status not who she is, and I understood her reasoning.
• My face turns red from the shame while she just stands there laughing at me.
• "I love you too" She is smirking at me but I feel like punching that cute face of hers.
• "How are you feeling?" she asked after a while
• "Like I was hit by a truck", I snapped sarcastically.
• "Okay here, take the painkillers with this water," she says, handing them to me, and I take them without complaining.
• "Phew! You stink, you get a shower and come down faster for breakfast". She gives me her playful expression, but all I want is to lie down. My head is pounding from the hangover, but she looks like she never took any alcohol. Sometimes I wonder if she is human. We drink the same quantity and I am always the one who gets the hangover.
• "Can I sleep for five minutes please?" I asked with puppy eyes.
• "Nope! You know those eye tricks just work on men, right?" she asked.
• "I had to give it a try on you," I said, smiling.
• "Okay now go," she said, getting the covers out of bed
• "Okay mum", I annoy her with my response but she just lets out a giggle, walking out while clipping her hair, which is dyed blonde today. She has very beautiful black hair but she always dyes it. I wonder why sometimes. I hope she will tell me one day.
• There is nothing much we are doing today, just shopping and walking around the city. My sick leave days are almost over.
