Chapter 99 Fight!

• To Emerald’s disappointment, she reached the open region without any sight of an airplane or any kind of spacecraft after driving through the night. The only thing she had was some other SUVs with Zergs. She put on a Zerg uniform she found in the back seat and lowered her body, using the two tentacles to block the side windows. She managed not to attract the attention of the Zergs.
• The road became wider. Along the hard, frozen ground, Emerald saw rows of buildings several miles away, smoke rising from some buildings that looked like factories. Several planes swooped down and landed there behind the buildings.
• She pulled over and lowered her head, trying to come up with a strategy. How could she get an airplane? How could she lose the ground soldiers and fly up to the sky after getting into a plane?
