Chapter 24 Second time
- I walked down the steps and into the kitchen and stopped dead in the doorway. Rachel and the two kids were singing a song about a bus and eating fruit loops between verses. It was the cutest thing I had ever seen. It had been a long time since there had been any singing in my house. A smiled ran across my face.
- "Say, 'good morning, Daddy,'" Rachel commanded and kids cheerfully did as they were instructed and then went back to eating their cereal.
- "We need to talk," I said, motioning for Rachel to follow.
