• The meetings were the worst part of being Alpha. They were long and unproductive. I’ve been sitting here for an hour waiting for one member of the council to arrive. My Alpha’s court which was a group of my trusted wolves who were young, unlike the wise old council who governed over much more serious stuff like when I wanted to invade another Pack. The Alpha’s court was made up of Hunter, Oliver, Noah and Rachel though Rachel and I weren’t on the best terms right now she still showed up to do her job.
• Summer should be here, I thought. I trusted her with my life and my secrets. She deserved a seat at the table. However, I knew how the old bats felt about her because of her past but that didn’t matter.
