Chapter 11

• I couldn’t believe I slept and took a shower in the Alpha’s house with a fugitive’s mark and another weird one next to it. I stared at two marks on my lower back in the mirror. I walked out of the shower and saw the black mark as I passed in the mirror. I grabbed my new phone and took a picture. One of them was the fugitive mark but I didn’t know what the other one was.
• “When did this show up?” Dad asked.
• “I can’t say. I saw it today.”
