Chapter 8

• Not only did Kelsey's pale face clear up but her pale body also gradually started clearing up; from her neck, down to her hands, upper body, legs, and even toes. Axion and Glinda were shocked to see her body clear up.
• " Mom " Axion rushed to the other side of the bed. That was when Phoenix opened her eyes and looked up. Shocked ran through her on seeing Kelsey's clear skin. Her tears dried up immediately. She quickly let go of her hand, stepping back, and her eyes widened.
• " What... just... happened? " She didn't even know when the question left her lips. She stared at her hands in disbelief, nodding her head negatively while stepping away from the bed even more.
• Axion took Kelsey's hands, massaging them gently while staring at her with his eyes glowing in hope and expectation. After some minutes of waiting, just when Axion was about to give up hope...
• Kelsey let out a really deep breath like she has been holding it back for years. Slowly she opened her eyes but closed them back immediately because of how bright everywhere was to her. Waves of happiness ran through Axion. Glinda covered her mouth to prevent the happy scream about leaving.
• " Mom " Axion called, his eyes already flooded with tears. Kelsey slowly opened her eyes. Seeing who was staring at her with teary eyes, she frowned her brows in confusion, not recognizing Axion.
• " Who...are... you dear? " She questioned in a faint, weak, and shaky voice.
• " Mom... it is I, Axion...your son " Axion answered, finally letting his tears fall. Kelsey's pupil dilated greatly and her face beamed immediately.
• " Axion " Tears flooded her eyes and she reached out and held Axion's face with a shaky hand. Axion held her hands, closing his eyes to enjoy the feelings of Kelsey's touch once again. These 15 years, felt like forever.
• " Is this really you? " Kelsey asked and Axion nodded, more tears rolling down.
• " My son " Kelsey mumbled as Axion helped her sit up. She pulled him into a tight hug and Axion hugged back without hesitation.
• " You've grown so big " She mumbled.
• " Yes Mom " Axion replied amidst tears.
• " I've missed you so much Mom " He confessed, kissing her hair, tightening the hug like he never wants to let her go.
• " Kelsey " Glinda who have been watching the two finally called making Kelsey pull out of the hug. Seeing who was standing not so far from her, Kelsey broke down, crying the more, and Glinda couldn't hold her tears either.
• " Glinda " Kelsey spread her arms out wide and Glinda walked up and embraced her immediately.
• Phoenix on the other hand froze in shock, watching what was going on. She felt as though she was dreaming. She managed to leave the room, holding onto the wall so she won't slump to the floor due to shock.
• " But... how...how did it happen? "She asked no one in particular.
• " Did I just revive her? " She stared at her hands once again, not wanting to believe what happened right before her eyes.
• " No, I'm sure it's just a dream " She nodded negatively.
• " Someone wake me up please " She muttered, pinching herself hard. When nothing happened, she pinched herself hard again.
• " Why isn't anything happening? Why aren't I waking up? " She groaned, pinching herself hard yet again.
• " Because this isn't a dream " A voice answered, startling her. She turned immediately and saw Glinda standing before her, a broad smile plastered on her lips.
• " Is this really real? " Phoenix couldn't help but ask.
• " What do you think? " Glinda asked back, pinching her on the cheek and making her wince in pain.
• " So this is real... it's not a dream " She muttered.
• " But...how could I have revived her? I thought you said only a Red Phoenix can do that? " Glinda chuckled at silly her question.
• " That's because you are the Red Phoenix I was talking about " She answered. Phoenix paused for some time, trying to digest what Glinda said before,
• " No " She nodded sideways, still denying the truth.
• " I can't be a Red Phoenix ma'am. I'm just a random girl. My name is Phoenix and that doesn't mean I'm a Red Phoenix, don't misunderstand " She pointed out.
• Letting out a slight laugh, Glinda took her hands, staring intently into her eyes.
• " Your name is Phoenix but it has nothing to do with this. It isn't a matter of name but what you truly are " She corrected.
• " I know this whole thing is still shocking and confusing to you but... just believe in yourself and what you're capable of Phoenix. You're more than just a random girl. Embrace who you truly are and trust me, you'll even more surprised as to what you can do " Glinda encouraged with a smile. What she said made Phoenix let out a deep sigh, nodding.
• " Aunt " A voice called, making Glinda turn only to see Axion standing not so far from them. He walked over.
• " Anyways Phoenix, thanks for reviving Kelsey, we owe you. I'll leave you two to talk ok? " Glinda said to Phoenix.
• " Ok " She replied and with that, Glinda went back inside.
• Immediately Glinda left, Phoenix turned and made to leave too when,
• " Wait " Axion's voice halted her making her roll her eyes as she turned back, glaring at Axion with folded arms.
• " What? " Axion raised a brow at her making her scoff.
• " Don't you have something to say...to me? " Phoenix demanded.
• " Something like what? "
• " Like sorry, first of all for all those hurtful words you said to me inside and secondly, a thank you for saving your Mom! " Phoenix snapped angrily at him. Axion scoffed with an eye roll, stepping closer to her, his eyes sending daggers at her's.
• " I fucking paid you for it so why should I thank you? " Phoenix let out a huff in disbelief.
• " And also, everything I said to you inside...I meant it all " Axion pointed to her face.
• Phoenix tightened her fist in anger. Deep inside, she felt like punching out the life inside of him.
• " Go...to...hell! " She spat in rage and stormed out. Axion only hissed, going after her.
• They both got outside with Phoenix walking ahead, not looking back. She was about to walk past Axion's car when she pulled a full brake on her leg, her eyes widening in shock. Axion who was once behind her was now before her, glaring at her.
• " What the fuck do you want?! " Phoenix groaned, frustrated.
• " Get into the car " Axion commanded with a stern glare.
• " No thank you. I can walk home by myself " Phoenix hissed and made to walk past him but Axion grabbed her arm and pulled her back. He opened the door of the car and pushed her inside before slamming the door to her face. Entering the driver's seat and without saying a word, he ignited the engine and drove off even before Phoenix could object.
• Axion pulled a brake on getting to his house. Stepping out, he walked over to the other side of the car, opened the door, and grabbed Phoenix's arm, pulling her out roughly.
• " Let me go Axion," Phoenix said, struggling to break from his grip but it was tight.
• " You're hurting me! " Axion ignored her complaints as he dragged her inside.
• " Let me go! " Phoenix yelled angrily, finally breaking free from his tight grip but they were already inside the house.
• " Where is this place and why did you bring me here? " Phoenix demanded, glaring at Axion who rolled his eyes.
• " Welcome to your new house, Phoenix " He sassed making Phoenix eye him a bit confused.
• " I never told you I didn't have a house or that I needed one " She hissed.
• " I know " Axion shrugged.
• " It's just that... you don't have an option here. This is your new home from now on " He smirked mischievously.
• " What nonsense are you talking about? " Phoenix glared at him. Letting out a scoff, Axion walked over to a soft and sat down, crossing his legs on the table before him.
• " It's isn't nonsense my dear Phoenix " He replied.
• " Tell me Phoenix, did you go through the contract you signed earlier or... were you just too desperate to? " He smirked making Phoenix frown deeply at him.
• " Who in this world signs such an agreement without first going through it, huh? " Axion questioned once again.
• " But you did...which was quite...surprising and also...very stupid of you "
• " What did you do Axion? " Phoenix asked, knowing he was up to something.
• " Well yeah, the initial deal between us was that you'll heal my Mom while I help your mom which we both have fulfilled. But aside from the initial deal, lies another agreement which you signed willingly " Axion replied, his smirk widening.
• " The other agreement stated clearly that from the moment you signed it, I...being Axion Rivera... automatically becomes... your MASTER while you... Phoenix Campbell becomes...MY SLAVE FOREVER...
