Chapter 1 Expelled from the Pack
- Chloe Taylor's POV
- "Oh, my God! If it weren't for the Alpha's sake, I wouldn't even bother coming to this ridiculous coming-of-age ceremony."
- "Yeah, having an Alpha heir with no wolf makes us Thunder Pack look like a joke in the eyes of other packs!"
- I was holding a martini and about to head out to the deck to get some fresh air and greet the two daughters of my father's Beta, when I overheard them.
- My smile froze on my face, then my lips curled into a cold smirk as I walked over to them, locking my gaze with theirs.
- "What are you talking about?"
- The two of them quickly looked embarrassed and turned away, clearly uncomfortable.
- I knew they were talking about me.
- Being wolf-less, I had endured countless sneers and disdain from werewolves my whole life and had few friends.
- If it weren't for my father being the Alpha of Thunder Pack, I might have faced even harsher isolation and scorn.
- It was nearly impossible for a werewolf without their own wolf to reach adulthood.
- I sighed in bitter amusement, downing the rest of my martini and heading to a quiet corner of the banquet hall where I downed several glasses of whiskey.
- If I had my own wolf like normal werewolves, tonight would be the most exciting night of my life.
- My wolf would help me find our destined mate.
- We'd meet in the darkness, kiss, make love, mark each other, and experience an incredible climax …
- With the whiskey making my head spin, I was lost in these fantasies when suddenly, my phone rang.
- "Chloe, come to the second-floor lounge on the yacht. I've got a big surprise for you!" It was Shania Simon, a kind Beta, the only girl who was willing to be my friend.
- Her voice was mysteriously inviting, and I quickly headed in the direction she mentioned.
- What could the surprise be? My heart was filled with anticipation …
- "Shania! Shania! Are you in there?" I called out, standing outside the lounge Shania had mentioned. The hallway was dark, with no lights.
- I knocked for a long time with no response.
- Suddenly, a faint growl, barely audible, sent a shiver down my spine. I was about to turn and leave when ...
- "Ah!" The door to the lounge swung open abruptly, and before I could react, a long, strong hand reached out and pulled me inside!
- The door slammed shut behind me with a loud thud.
- "Who are you? What do you want?" I was terrified and angry, but my drunken state left me too weak to fight back. I bit down hard on the shoulder of the person holding me.
- He didn't flinch or respond; he simply tossed me onto the bed with one swift motion.
- "Ah! It hurts ... " In the moment when his hardness pierced through my core, I couldn't help but arch my back in pain and cry out.
- I didn't know the first time could be so painful! His maleness was just too big, causing my inside to instinctively contract violently.
- "Hmm ... " I was just thinking that he might be the "gift" prepared for me by Shania when he suddenly thrust into me, causing my legs to instinctively wrap around his waist.
- "Ah!" He bit down on my right nipple, his lips and tongue teasing and grinding against it repeatedly. It sent shivers down my spine and causing me to moan uncontrollably.
- His large hand played and kneaded my other breast. In the darkness, he buried his head in my chest, nibbling, sucking, and licking, while his lower body rhythmically contracted inside my folds.
- After his tireless teasing, I hadn't even had a chance to see his face clearly before I passed out from exhaustion ...
- When I woke up again, the man was nowhere to be seen.
- "The one who just ran out of this lounge must be a witch's descendant!"
- "Oh, my God! Chloe, you spent the whole night with a witch's descendant, someone all werewolves despise?!"
- Just as I was about to call Shania to get the details, the lounge door swung open.
- A group of people burst in—both men and women. Under the lights, I instantly recognized two of them.
- One was my close friend Shania, and the other was my stepsister, Cassandra Taylor. They were linked arm in arm, looking like the best of friends, their expressions a mix of feigned shock and judgment.
- In that moment, it became clear to me—there was no way a witch's descendant could so easily access our private yacht without someone's help.
- And that someone was Cassandra.
- This was a trap they'd set up together, designed to make me lose face in front of the entire pack!
- My father's deputy quickly arrived to disperse the onlookers, leaving just Shania and Cassandra still enjoying the spectacle of my humiliation.
- Before two guards escorted me to face my father, I clenched my fists and demanded of Shania, "Why did you deceive me?"
- Shania smirked coldly at me. "Chloe, who told you to be so gullible? You made it too easy."
- "Are you pleased with Shania's little gift?" Cassandra's face was twisted with malicious delight.
- "You wolf-less disgrace who spent the night with a witch's descendant, just wait for all of us werewolves to scorn and disdain you. There will be no place for you in the pack."
- Shania snarled at me, "Chloe, if it weren't for the fact that all the men's attention was on you, so they might only see me if I stood nearby, do you think I'd be bothered with you, a wolfless werewolf, and be your best friend? From the moment we met, I've been nothing more than a background player for you. I hate you so much I wish I could ruin your face! If your father weren't the Alpha, I would have torn you apart already!"
- I glared at Shania coldly. "I've always considered you my best friend, but I didn't expect you to be so shameless! Shania, aren't you afraid of the consequences of betraying a friend? Are you so eager to ingratiate yourself with Cassandra, working together to kick me out, so that Cassandra can be the next Alpha? Did my stepmother promise you anything for helping her?"
- I pressed her hard, but Shania remained silent.
- Cassandra took over, taunting, "It seems you're not entirely clueless. Since you don't have a wolf, we're going to kick you out now. The Alpha position in Thunder Pack will be mine.
- "And I have proof to show Dad that not only did you spend the night with a witch's descendant, but you've also been engaging in prostitution to make money. Just wait to be expelled from the pack!"
- "You two bitches!" I was trembling with rage, rushing toward them, wanting to grab their hair and teach them a lesson.
- They immediately shifted into wolves and dodged my advance with lightning speed.
- If I could, I would have shifted into a wolf and torn them apart. But I didn't have a wolf, while Shania and Cassandra, as Betas, could control their own wolves.
- I couldn't fight them.
- "Cassandra, let's go! We don't need to waste any more time with her. Thunder Pack will soon be rid of this wolf-less embarrassment," Cassandra said, turning her back on me as she walked away with Shania.
- …
- Two guards escorted me back to the Taylors' residence.
- "I didn't allow you to study abroad, and you secretly engage in such money-making activities? And you even got involved with a witch's descendant! I'm the Alpha of Thunder Pack—you've brought shame upon me! How do I explain this to the pack elders?" my father, Zack Taylor, roared at me.
- "Dad, I didn't … "
- "You didn't, Chloe? How shameless can you be? You're the daughter of the Alpha, yet you went to such a place and sold yourself? Don't bring any filthy diseases home to hurt us!" My stepmother, Jennifer Taylor, lounged on the sofa, fueling my father's anger.
- "Dad, I would never admit to something I didn't do! About what happened … " I looked at my father stubbornly, trying to explain.
- But my father cut me off sharply. "Are you still trying to lie? I don't have a daughter who would disgrace herself like this!
- "Now, as the Alpha of Thunder Pack, I officially order you to leave this house and get out of Thunder Pack!" He looked down on me with his Alpha authority and made the announcement.
