Chapter 9
- [Amanda]
- My world came to a standstill, and I was forcefully thrust five years back. The difference was that time I was not told about Dominic’s extra-marital affair by the man himself, and today he was outright telling me that he loved someone else. Without an ounce of regret or hesitance in his countenance. Sadly, the wound that I thought had healed up in these years, seemed to come alive, bringing with it fresh pain. I swallowed back the lump forming in my throat. My gaze met his. He was looking at me intensely as if waiting for me to do something but I wouldn't give him the satisfaction. Never have. Never will.

He shook his head and replied with ease, “Can’t. I kind of love her silently. As in she has no idea I do”. I saw his eyes transform, the blank slate filled with emotion.
