Chapter 2 Hendrick, You Go to Hell

  • Four vicious dogs pounced on Sandra, viciously tearing at her.
  • The physical pain of her flesh being torn open paled in comparison to the anguish in Sandra's heart.
  • She lost control, seizing the mouth of one of the vicious dogs, crying so intensely that her voice nearly failed her.
  • "My child... give my child back to me, return her to me... Hendrick, I despise you, I detest you…" Sandra moaned.
  • Natalie raised his hand and the male servant beside him stepped forward, pulling the leash of the vicious dog.
  • Sandra remained drenched in blood and flesh, sprawled on the ground, barely conscious. Natalie approached, raised his foot, and pressed it onto Sandra's hand.
  • She clicked her tongue. "These hands that once played the piano and painted, now gnawed like this, may be rendered useless in the future, what a shame."
  • Natalie crouched down, murmuring, "I forgot to mention, your ill-fated daughter was quite adorable. But much like you, she was unfortunate. Hendri mentioned that if she perishes, she perishes. He has no interest in her. He intends to adopt a child for me. He is truly considerate."
  • Sandra lay on the ground in the rain. She was freezing, but her blood ran colder still.
  • Natalie rose, kicked Sandra in the torso. "At this point, I have no qualms divulging another secret. Hendri, in order to compensate for my sister and me, has transformed Skycloud Group into Winters Group.
  • "Your father was framed, your brother vanished, and your younger brother has become a woman's plaything. Your mother is deceased, oh, she took her own life. She leaped from the building, it was a tragic sight..."
  • Natalie concluded, turned on his heel, and departed, instructing someone, "She is of no further use, so expel her."
  • Sandra suddenly exerted all her strength, clutching Natalie's ankle, yearning to sink her teeth into Natalie's neck, "Natalie..."
  • "You doubt me?" Natalie kicked her away. "Then I shall allow you to witness it firsthand." With that, Natalie swaggered off.
  • The surroundings fell silent once more. A garment worn by Sandra upon her arrival at the mental hospital was tossed to her, and she was hauled into a vehicle.
  • Upon returning to her family's estate, the residence was shrouded in darkness, sealed shut. Natalie had not deceived her. Her family was gone.
  • Seated in the vehicle, clutching her chest, Sandra was consumed by unbearable agony. She was not granted a moment to disembark. Instead, she was taken directly to the graveyard.
  • In the dead of night, the male servant hesitated to escort Sandra up the hill. After dragging Sandra from the vehicle, the two departed.
  • Sandra had once feared nothing, save for ghosts and monsters. Yet today, she found herself devoid of fear. No malevolent spirit is more terrifying than Hendrick.
  • With her body riddled with wounds, she traversed the rocky path on the mountain post-rain, part walking, part crawling, and in the darkness, she reached her family's ancestral burial ground.
  • Upon beholding a fresh grave mound, she collapsed to her knees with a soft thud, tears cascading down her cheeks as she crawled to the tombstone.
  • Beneath the moonlight, she discerned the image on the tombstone clearly. Tears welled in her eyes instantaneously.
  • She extended her arms and embraced the tombstone, knocking her head against the stone monument, blood trickling from her forehead, staining the tender photo of her mother beside it.
  • "I erred, Mom... It's my fault..."
  • She had erred. She should not have provoked Hendrick; she should not have harbored affection for Hendrick; she should not have...
  • As dawn broke, Sandra, who had knelt before her mother's grave all night, stirred. She lifted her head, gently caressing her mother's visage in the photo, and now, her face bore no trace of tears.
  • She whispered softly, "Mom, I will make him pay. I will avenge you, and then I will go to be with you and the baby and repent to you. Wait for me."
  • She staggered to her feet, her lonely and fragile figure taking step by step down the mountain...
  • Hendrick had hardly slept all night. He smashed the projector in his study and destroyed all the gifts Sandra had given him over the years.
  • It wasn't until noon that he finally left the Nightgarden. However, as the car drove out of the gate, the driver suddenly slammed on the brakes.
  • Hendrick raised his eyebrows slightly, just in time to see Sandra standing in front of the car looking disheveled. He frowned, as he had instructed those people to take care of her during her confinement. How did she end up in this state?
  • Through the car window, Sandra's eyes met Hendrick's, as if she wanted to devour him alive. Seeing Sandra's gaze, Hendrick's heart grew cold. What did it matter to him how she looked now?
  • He coldly opened the car door and got out, striding up to Sandra and grabbing his collar. "Did I not say before that I don't want to see you again? Who do you think you are, daring to come here again?"
  • Sandra looked up at him, her voice hoarse, her eyes red, but refusing to shed a tear. "It was my blindness that made me fall in love with you. You are not worthy."
  • Hendrick's eyes showed a hint of coldness. "What did you say?"
  • Sandra showed a hint of despair on her face. "Since the mistake was caused by me, then I will be the one to end it. Hendrick, go to hell."
  • She raised her hand, revealing a knife that had been hidden under her sleeve, and fiercely stabbed towards Hendrick's heart. Blood instantly gushed out from Hendrick's shoulder...
