• My chamber was filled with chit-chatting and laughter of my other three best friends as they dressed me up for my pre-birthday banquet. I sat in front of the mirror as Lee Min Jin, the minister of finance's third daughter who was two months older than I am, added ornaments to my hair.
• "Don't you think it's too much?" I asked, checking out myself in the mirror. "I feel like a bride with this many ornaments in my hair."
