Chapter 7 Inferior Talent In Acting
- As Nadia nearly fell, Aurelia quickly grabbed her arm, which caused Nadia to look at Aurelia in surprise.
- "If you want to be good at acting, you have to be more convincing," Aurelia whispered softly in Nadia's ear, voice gentle yet bearing a terrifying edge. "If it's too hard for you, let me help."
- Nadia's heart stuttered as she turned to face Aurelia, whose cold gaze sent a shiver down her spine. Many rocks decorated the hospital lawn to create a serene atmosphere, and Aurelia did not pause despite knowing what would happen to Nadia once she let go, but she didn't hesitate. Nadia's head hit a stone with a muffled thump, making her delicate forehead swell instantly and making her look frailer. The whole scene happened so instantly that it caught not just Nadia unawares but also Caspian.
- When he realized what had happened, Caspian glared at Aurelia while clenching his teeth. "Aurelia, do you understand how serious your actions are?"
- Aurelia shrugged nonchalantly. "Sorry, it wasn't on purpose..."
- "You...!" Caspian's gaze bore into Aurelia's face, which showed no guilt or regret, knowing she felt no guilt.
- "Do you not believe me?" Aurelia caught Caspian's disgusted gaze with a mocking smile. "It's strange. Why would you believe Nadia's apologies but not mine? Is it because of my inferior talent in acting?"
- Nadia touched her forehead carefully, the throbbing pain and swelling feeling like needles stinging her brain. Her eyes overflowed with hatred as she glared at Aurelia, holding back the urge to lash out. For Nadia, whose face was everything in the entertainment industry, the thought of disfigurement was unbearable. She had never expected Aurelia to be so ruthless!
- Ignoring her malevolent stare, Aurelia's eyes glittered mockingly. "Nadia, stay away from me from now on, or the outcome will be worse than this superficial incident."
- Detecting the implicit threat, Caspian stepped forward to position himself in front of Aurelia with a stormy look. "Aurelia, your actions are completely incomprehensible!"
- Aurelia arched an eyebrow disapprovingly, a cold smile on her lips. "Stay away if you think so. I have zero patience, and anything I hate is too repulsive for me to take another look!"
- "You…" Caspian's face remained unreadable as he clenched his fists. "If you're angry with me, take it out on me. Leave Nadia out of it!"
- "A mere doormat is worth this argument?" Aurelia shot him a disdainful glare. "You think too much of yourself!"
- Caspian frowned, his voice deep and threatening. "Hate me, but I won't let you harm Nadia!"
- Scooping Nadia into his embrace, Caspian shot Aurelia a piercing look before leaving.
- Aurelia stood there, tears brimming in her eyes. Three years of loyalty had come to nothing, and the brief joy of fleeing her family felt hollow. Yet, having decided to end it all, she would never consider turning back.
- Aurelia slowly closed her eyes, trying to hold back her tears. Despite her efforts, tears continued to flow down her cheeks, evidence of the love she had once chased after so confidently.
- "Are you okay?" A deep, magnetic voice asked from her side.
