- With a mischievous glint in her eyes, Althea held Faelan's gaze. A smile played on his lips as he spoke. "Grandma, your kindness won't be forgotten, ever."
- Althea scoffed and glared at him playfully. "Don't flatter yourself! This isn't some grand gesture for you. I just want to meet my future great-grandchildren sooner rather than later." She arched her eyebrow and smiled smugly.
- Faelan's gaze dipped, a veil of seriousness settling over his features. "Consider it a deal then, Grandma. She'll be your future granddaughter-in-law, but your word stands, no matter what happens in the future."
