• I stood by the side and watched as Doctor Foster ran Raven's vitals again after flushing out the drug in her system. He packed up his kit, pulling at his gloves before turning to look at me.
• "Alpha," he began, his expression rather conflicting, and I couldn't tell if it was going to be bad or good news. "The surgery was successful, and the drug is no longer in her system, but it had done enough damage. From what I found out yesterday, it seems it is not only an aphrodisiac but a corrosive drug that is meant to destroy a wolf's internal organs. Thankfully, she bypassed the crucial stage already."
