Chapter 24

• RAVEN’S POV:
• There was a knock on the door, jolting me awake from my deep sleep. I rubbed my eyes drowsily as my gaze reached for the wall clock across the room. It was still noon.
• I quickly scrambled out of the bed and turned the doorknob, opening the door. It was a young lady dressed in a servant uniform with two bags in her hands. When she saw me, she immediately bowed respectfully. "Hello, Miss. I'm here to clock in for the day. I'm your newly assigned maid."
