Chapter 36

• The beeping sound of Anna’s vitals kept Nathan awake on the reclining chair in the hospital room as he battled with insomnia. He found it hard to close his eyes anymore. Everything changed in a couple of three days. He was restless, irritated and exhausted. His eyes held bags and was sunken and he felt his clothes begin to look a bit bigger on him.
• Nathan let out another sigh. He hasn’t been to a hotel or anywhere in particular neither did he take a bath admist Luke’s advice. His mother had visited everyday, bringing a bowl of soup but Nathan never took a drop of it. Even when she tried to make up a conversation, he pretended not to hear and when she was tired, she doted over Anna and then left. His father on the other hand was busy with his friends.
• Not his friends actually but business partners. He was trying to salvage his company and dynasty from breaking apart. The stocks has plummeted faster than anyone had imagined. The total revenue of the last two weeks was the lowest they had in a decade and to worsen it, it seemed that Kendrick Sawyer didn’t take his advise after all.
