Chapter 81

• DAVE'S POV
• Thomas was unnervingly silent and it did nothing to ease my troubled mind. We were headed to the airport and I looked outside as Thomas drove expertly to the airport. I wasn't in the right sense of mind to drive. I had left without telling Simeone. I didn't like leaving her in the dark yet I couldn't tell her, she was already going through so much and I didn't want her to start worrying about me either.
• The car swerved into the parking lot and we got down in silence. Everywhere was silent as Thomas Led me to the waiting aircraft waiting to convey us to Mexico where we were supposed to meet Mr X. This brought another question to my mind as we boarded the aircraft, Thomas sitting down quietly beside me as I stared out of the window, the aircraft beginning to move down the runway. Who was Mr. X? I didn't know him and I was nervous about meeting the said mafia lord. What would he be like? Could I trust him? Thomas trusted him so I should too however I still couldn't help but be skeptical about it.
