• Over the next few of days, I continued my usual routine in the office. I focused on my work, staying busy, and made a conscious decision not to be the one to start a conversation with Adam. It seemed he was also not the type to send a message first; I suppose. To be honest, I surprised myself by waiting for him. After Chase, I realized I shouldn’t give everything and fall in love so quickly in a relationship. I guess that was why I hadn’t met ‘The One’ until now.
• I had only exchanged a few casual messages with Nina, nothing about the Cunninghams or beyond that.
