Chapter 20 The Girl's Hug

• As tears continued to flow, Fiona felt the presence of someone watching her. She tried to look up and glanced to her left and right until she was startled to see William outside the gate of her house, sitting inside his car, staring at her sharply.
• Fiona took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. She didn’t want to appear weak in front of William. Quickly wiping her tears away, she knew it was too late—William had already seen her crying. Without saying anything, she stood up and walked toward William’s car, which had stopped not far from her house.
• Fiona never expected that William would come looking for her. A faint sense of relief lifted her spirits slightly. She walked toward William’s car as though everything was fine.
