Chapter 13 Fiona's Anger

  • The sky began to darken, and the surroundings of the office grew increasingly quiet. Fiona sat there, feeling like an abandoned child, with no place to go and no one who cared. Not a single taxi passed by, leaving her utterly powerless.
  • She continued waiting in front of the office building. The sun had long since set, and the night grew deeper. Fiona had no idea that William had left in the afternoon to check on some of his work outside the office after finishing a meeting.
  • The office began to empty, one by one the lights inside the building turned off, signaling that the place was closed. Fiona stayed, hoping that William would come out and find her. But that hope proved fruitless.
