Chapter 44 Make It Possible

• As we lay there together in the hospital, Riccardo made a promise to me that he would see our enemy pay for what he had done. And I knew that regardless of what happened, we would face it together, as we always had.
• But as the days and nights passed in the hospital, I couldn't help but feel a growing sense of fear and uncertainty. The attack that had nearly killed us both had shown just how vulnerable we were and how little control we really had over our fate.
