Chapter 16 Sixteen
- Sebastian’s POV
- I leaned against the polished wooden desk, arms crossed, watching Adriana glide into my chambers unannounced. The silk of her dress twirled against the cold stone floor, her every movement deliberate. Candlelight flickered against her hair, illuminating the soft contours of her face, her gaze heavy with longing. She had always been persistent, her infatuation bordering on obsession. The only reason I had her before was for passing out time not that I promised her anything.
- "You’ve been avoiding me," she murmured, tilting her head just so, her lips curving in a faint smile. She dragged her fingers along the desk, inching closer. "I was beginning to think you no longer found me… enticing."
