Chapter 8
- Delilah's POV
- When I didn’t reply anything, he spoke again, “Nevermind. I hope one day you can share your secrets with me.” he paused before continuing, “I just don’t want to hear that from others, you know. It will break my heart, you know.”, he said, placing his hand over his heart and acting dramatically.
- I knew those words were said in a funny way, but they had a deep meaning.
- If we consider someone close to us and that person hide some secret from us, then it hurts a lot.
- "I'm a hunter; that's why I train this hard to be the best.", I confessed all of a sudden, and he stopped laughing, and he looked at me, wondering if he heard the right thing or if his ears were deceiving him.
- "Yes, you heard it right, Liam.", I said so that he could stop staring at me like that.
- “A hunter? So, what’s your job? To fight with a Lion or Tiger? Like Mowgli of Jungle book or lady Tarzan.”, he asked, getting curious. “I hope you’re not into killing things, are you?”
- “I know your look, your behavior, and your attitude look like a killer, but you’re not someone who hurts innocent, right?”
- “You won’t believe me if I will tell you the truth.”
- “Try me.”
- “There are werewolves, vampires, witches, demons, angels, dragons, and many more supernatural creatures out there. I have trained myself hard to kill them.”, I replied. “In short, I have completed my theoretical studies, and now, I will have to start that knowledge practically.”
- “For real?”
- “For real.” He nodded his head and didn’t say anything. “You don’t believe me, do you?”
- “It’s just hard to digest, but I also know you’re not someone who jokes.”, he replied, and then he changed the topic.

- “I can believe that you made me this hanky size dress from which either my breast will pop out or my ass.”, I complained, trying to walk carefully.
- “Stop complaining, Babe.”
- “I will complain, and you will have to listen to me. Not just this hanky size dress, you made me wear this damn five-inch heels, and after wearing this, I feel like I’m standing on the fifth floor, and in front of you, I look like a giraffe.” I whined, on which he rolled his eyes. I glared at him and pulled my dress a light down, hoping it to grow a little longer.
- It was a silver color sequin dress sleeveless dress with thin straps, and it stopped at mid-thigh and was revealing a lot of cleavage and my whole long legs. I was seriously feeling naked wearing this. I did nothing with my hair, just kept it open, which was also a big deal for me because I had a habit of folding my hair into a messy bun.
- I knew I was a girl, but I didn’t mind using all of Liam’s cream or perfume.
- The music inside the club couldn’t be heard from outside as well. Liam had held my hand so that I wouldn’t end up falling to the ground. For the first time, I was wondering how hard it would be for a model or dancer to do anything in heels.
- A few large guys were guarding the entrance, they checked our Ids and then marked 16+ with a stamp on my right hand, and we got inside.
- “This tattoo is as a mark that you’re not allowed to buy any alcohol.”
- “I get it.”
- Once we were finally in, we both kept looking around like a kid who had seen anything for the first time.
- “Come on! Let’s dance.”
- “I don’t think I can with these heels.”
- “At least try it. If it doesn’t work out, you can dance without it.”, Saying this, he guided me to the middle of the dancefloor, excited like a kid. I looked around and found all the girls had worn the same hanky size clothes, and even smaller than this. “Dance just like you want to. No one is going to judge you.”
- Liam started dancing immediately, grinning like a happy kid, having fun, and making stupid dance moves. I laughed and tried to dance too but failed miserably because of heels, so I opened it and picked it in my hand and started dancing whatever steps which came to my mind and I observed people doing around. My shiver dress was shining brightly under the light, and it looked beautiful.
- This was my first experience here, and I had no idea when I would get a chance to enjoy it here again. I wanted to enjoy it to my fullest.
- I couldn’t help but smile when Liam was throwing daggers at all the male who was trying to close to me. Sometimes, he really behaved like a protective brother. That was a different story that when things came to fight, he hid behind me.
- I kept jumping and dancing like a weirdo when my eyes landed on a man staring right into my eyes. His brown eyes looked at me without even blinking. He was grinning eye to eye while doing so. He was devilishly handsome… and hot, too. Though I was not someone who admired and looked at any man for this long because of what I had seen at home but I was still having a hard time removing my hand from him.
- I averted my eyes after realizing that I was doing the same what he was doing and started dancing again, but I could still see his eyes on me. I started feeling self-conscious and started pulling my dress a little low again.
- “Stop doing that. It won’t get any longer.”, Liam laughed, pulling me closer to him.
- “I know.”, I pouted. “By the way, do you see the guy near the bar in black jeans, a black V-neck t-shirt, and a black jacket?” I asked, not looking at him.
