• "Well, I suppose there's some truth to that," my brother chimed in.
• After our somewhat awkward lunch, the food might have been delicious, but we struggled to enjoy it under Mom's skeptical gaze. The truth is, nothing happened between us last night or this morning. But if we had wanted to, why not, right?
